Common fiberglass processes include hand lay up, RTM, pultrusion, and compression molding, with steel molds used for mass production of pultrusion and compression molding.
 
Molding strengths:
 
(1) The material loss is small and will not constitute excessive loss (the stable continuous production pass rate is above 98%, with less burrs, generally controlled at 2-5 silk thickness).
 
(2) The internal stress of the product is very low, and the bending deformation is also very small, with relatively stable mechanical properties.
 
(3) The wear of the mold cavity is minimal, and the maintenance cost of the mold is relatively low. The lifespan of the mold varies depending on the steel material, and can range from 50000 to 500000 mold cycles
 
(4) The cost of molding equipment is lower, its mold structure is simpler, and the manufacturing cost is generally lower than that of injection molds or transfer molding molds. (Using hydraulic press)
 
(5) Can form larger flat products. The standards for products that can be molded by compression molding are only determined by the clamping force of existing compression molding machines and template standards.
 
(6) The shortening rate of the product is small and the repeatability is good. The shortening rate of Huari SMC materials can be controlled at negative shortening, zero shortening, or less than one thousandth shortening for different types
 
(7) It is possible to place a large number of mold cavities on a given template, resulting in a high production rate.
 
(8) High production efficiency, easy to achieve automated production. (Single mold can achieve a monthly output of 10000 pieces)
 
(9) The product has high standard accuracy and good repeatability.
 
(10) The appearance is bright and does not require secondary decoration. (Double sided gloss, good surface glossiness, diverse colors to choose from, uniform color and good luster)
 
(11) Capable of producing products with complex structures in one go. (Can contain embedded parts, moldable holes)
 
(12) Mass production, relatively low price

SMC molding suggests limiting the process:
 
1. Time limit: In principle, the thickness of the product should be about 1 minute per 1mm, which can be adjusted according to the actual situation
 
2. Temperature limit: Front (glossy surface of product)/Not suitable: 146-150 ℃/138-142 ℃. Note: This temperature is the surface temperature of the mold.
 
3. Forming pressure: greater than 100Kgf/cm2.
