SMC mold is a combination plastic mold used for compression molding, extrusion molding, injection molding, blow molding, and low foaming molding. It mainly includes a concave mold with a variable cavity composed of a concave mold combination substrate, concave mold components, and concave mold combination card board, and a convex mold with a variable core composed of a convex mold combination substrate, convex mold components, convex mold combination card board, cavity cutting components, and side section combination board. Harmonious changes in the convex, concave, and auxiliary molding systems of molds. Can process a series of plastic parts with different shapes and sizes. A tool that is compatible with plastic molding machines in the plastic processing industry, providing plastic products with complete configurations and precise dimensions.

Due to the wide variety of plastic varieties and processing methods, as well as the complex and varied structures of plastic molding machines and plastic products, the types and structures of plastic molds are also diverse.

I have made a unique summary about the layer laying of SMC fiberglass molds, in order to provide thoughtful service to our customers, improve our theoretical knowledge and practical operation ability, and also to enable our customers to have a simple understanding of SMC fiberglass molds.

SMC fiberglass mold laying process:

1: After the SMC fiberglass mold coating begins to solidify, the laying can begin. The laying process cannot be too fast, usually 2-3 layers of fiberglass cloth or fiberglass felt are laid per day.

2: Laying requires a certain amount of mold resin. The function of this resin is superior to that of ordinary resins. During the laying process, workers need to mix adhesive, which means adding a promoter and curing agent to the resin.

3: Apply glue with adhesive material, lay a layer of fiberglass fabric and apply another layer of glue. Use an iron roller to flatten the fabric, remove any bubbles, and make the glue even. After reaching the specified thickness, the laying is completed.

In general, the thickness of the mold should reach 3-5 times the thickness of the product. So the laying time is usually longer, lasting 6-7 days.
